Showered With Love

This past weekend, ladies from church threw a wonderful shower for me and baby Addison!  Everything was so perfect and coordinated with her room colors!

There are a bunch of pictures!  Here we go…

The wonderful hostesses and I with the cake!

Just some of the delicious food!

A close-up of the cake!  It was half chocolate with raspberry filling and half vanilla with lemon filling!  YUM!

Kasey even came in town again!

Kasey, mom and I before the shower started!

One of the gifts from mom…a pink and brown hospital gown!  Who wants to wear the nasty blue one they provide?!

SDC16232

People were too nervous to cut the beautiful cake!

Some decorations and party favors….

After the shower, I came home and we unloaded everything!  Layla just want to make sure we know she is still #1.

Saturday night, we went to the Astros game with my school!  It was a hot, hot, hot night, but at least we were in the shade!

Dad, mom, Kasey and her friend, Tim!

Jimmy and I after the game.

Sunday afternoon, we ran a bunch of errands!  While we were out and about, I found this cute little dress to bring Addison home in!

SDC16267

I think we can say her room is finally done!!  Jimmy put up the shelves, I put together the mobile and put up the lamp.

I took this picture of the pink rose when I was in 3rd grade at Miller Elementary for a photography competition!  I had to hang it because it matches so perfectly!

All we need is baby!

Here is my 34 week picture!  We’re getting close!

Book Shower!

I love the school I work at! I have a fabulous Kindergarten team, wonderful kids and great administration! Today, my Kindergarten team threw a book shower for myself and another teacher on our team!

She is also expecting a girl, about 11 weeks after me!

The shower was lovely! It was just the 7 of us, but we had fruit salad, pasta salad, raspberry punch and yummy red velvet cupcakes!

Our team room actually looked nice and cute, for once!

Isn't the corsage beautiful?

Thank you, ladies, for making it a special day!

Holy Cow, I’m 27!

This was a fun, fun, fun birthday weekend!

It all started on Friday, with an exciting day at school!  My friend, Stephanie, brought me a purple lei (since Hawaii is one of my favorite places to go)!  She brought all my kids a lei also!!  Here we are, taking a ‘crazy' picture’ Friday morning!

SDC16111

After lunch, my mom brought up a cookie cake for us all to share!

 SDC16121

Jimmy even surprised me at school with these GORGEOUS flowers!

SDC16193

Friday, right after my surprise baby shower from my class, Jimmy and I headed to New Braunfels!!!  Of course, we had to go one more time before Addison gets here!

We were a little bummed because it was pretty rainy and overcast.  We did find a Farmers Market going on Saturday morning.

Then, we ran a few errands around town.  This is Henne’s Hardware…one of the oldest stores on the Plaza downtown.

SDC16187 SDC16188

There was a bout four hours of pure sunshine Saturday afternoon, so we snuck in a nice, relaxing float on the Comal!

SDC16189

Saturday night, we went to our very favorite restaurant, Liberty Bistro.  This delicious place is just off the Plaza and it is in the basement of the old courthouse.

SDC16190 SDC16191

We came home on Sunday afternoon, and went to dinner with mom and dad at Outback!!  (Too bad I forgot my camera!)

Jimmy finally started on the Rosetta Stone we bought four months ago!

 SDC16199

We both took Monday off to relax and get things done around home.  One of the big items on the list was a carwash for me!  I have not gotten my car washed in a long time and we have been to the river twice since then.  It was nasty!

After having this day off, we both decided we need to take a day off once a quarter, when nobody else has the day off (like today).  The stores were empty, there was no traffic and we got a ton accomplished!

Thank you to everyone who helped make my birthday wonderful!!

Surprise Shower!

If you have been reading this blog for any time at all, you know how blessed I feel with such a great class this year!  Not only do I have the best students in all of Kindergarten, the parents are wonderful as well!

This Friday, the moms in my class surprised me with a Baby Shower!  I am still in awe of everything they did for me and baby Addison!

 SDC16135 SDC16139

Every student gave her a brand new board book, complete with a picture label with their name and photo!  That way, I never forget who gave me what book!

SDC16141  SDC16143

In addition to the books, we got so many super cute clothes, burp cloths, blankets, toys, socks, pacis and all things baby!

SDC16148

Of course, the moms had everything figured out and brought ‘entertainment’ for the kids!

SDC16142

They all enjoyed cupcakes and decorated a teeny baby diaper!

SDC16154 SDC16155

I am so lucky to have everyone of these kids in my class this year!  I will miss this group in just a few weeks, when they are all big first graders!

SDC16176

Only 7 weeks left, until Baby Addison gets here!

Jam-Packed Weekend

This past weekend was the opposite of restful!  We could not have fit one more thing into any of the days!  Friday night, I had my school’s annual fundraiser.  They ask that teachers volunteer for at least 30 minutes.  Its actually a lot of fun and I don’t mind working it – plus, we raised more money than ever this year!

On Saturday morning, Jimmy’s bank participated in a 5K so, dad and I ran it.  I was not in it to win it this time and I came in my slowest time ever, but it was great!  I am still running-ish, but this was definitely my last race before baby.

 SDC16079 SDC16084

On Saturday, we went to one of my students’ football games, picked out shelves at Target, bought a bunch of new landscaping for our yard and went to a Progressive Dinner with our church group.  I really think I was too exhausted to remember to take pictures at any of the events!  We did get this one before we left for dinner.  I am nearly 32 weeks pregnant!  WOW!

SDC16085

Sunday was spent at church, picking up the shelves we found on Sunday, landscaping the yard, putting the shelves together, cleaning out Addison’s room and organizing stuff onto the shelves and getting in bed early!

I can’t believe how much we did this weekend and I need a nap!  Thankfully, this weekend, we are heading to New B for my birthday!  We are both taking Monday off and both really looking forward to some rest!
