This weekend, everyone is celebrating Easter! I love how people have all types of traditions and activities that consume their day. After church, we had a church-wide Easter Egg hunt. There were over 700 eggs for the kids to hunt. It was so fun watching them run around, scrambling to grab as many eggs as possible.

Kylie found a pink one!

When I asked Makailyn how many she found, she looked into her basket and said, "Umm...I think a million."

One thing I have always loved about my family is that even family-oriented holidays are never limited to just our family. We always have friends celebrating with us.
Jimmy and I have some great friends here, Kelly and Jay. Their two oldest daughters, Saibree and Makailyn were our flower girls in the wedding and we recently became the God-parents of their youngest, Kylie. Just over a month ago, Kelly's mom moved back to California, where the rest of their family lives. So, of course, their family spent the day with us. It was fabulous!

Before our Easter lunch, we went to take pictures in the bluebonnets! This is something I look forward to every year. I love the blue bonnets and the beautiful flowers (weeds) that grow at the same time.

Isn't this the best bluebonnet picture you have seen? (I took it!)
