One of my students found a piece of chalk out on our courtyard. She was happily singing her ABC's, while writing all over the bricks. I thought it looked really neat!

Landscaping Project - Phase One, Day Two
Poor Jimmy has been working on this so hard for the past few days! On Sunday, his dad came over and they laid out the plans for the entire yard.
Monday, Jimmy bought all the supplies and, a few hundred dollars later, he is digging trenches in the yard. Hopefully, this phase will only take a few more days. Who knows what the next step will be, but I am sure it will look awesome when it is all finished!
There is mud and dirt EVERYWHERE!!
Another one of the many trenches...look how much dirt there is!

Sometimes the different idea is the best....
Every weekend is the same thing..."What do you want to do tonight?" "I don't know, what do you want to do?" "I don't know....." We normally just end up going out for a margarita, having a BBQ or staying in with a movie. This past Saturday, on Jimmy's way home from work, he said, "Hey! Lets go to Galveston!" So, we did.
This was the place Jimmy and I went on our first date. Let me take you back a few years....The two of us were on a real-date for the first time and Jimmy ordered a drink called a Rainbow Colada. (It is a pink pina colada with whip cream!) I ordered a beer. The bar tender looked at Jimmy and said, "Manly." Hahaha!
So, this time, Jimmy had to order another Rainbow Colada again!
I have been in the market for a hat that I can take on vacation this summer. (43 days away). I found this hat, but was talked out of buying it. I thought it was cute.....
Saturday night was fun because it was out of the ordinary. I love the spontaneous ideas we come up with sometimes! If you have any fun, different ideas, let us know! We are always up for new things!

Happy Birthday to ME!
I am 25. I don't know if I am excited to have reached this milestone of an age, or if I am depressed. When I was younger, I thought I wanted to be done having kids by the time I was 25. Ha. The weekend was full of fun and excitement though. My actual birthday was on Friday. I had a surprise balloon delivery in class on Friday morning from my mom and dad! So great! The actual school day was a little rough. One of my student's obviously does not appreciate birthdays or understand it is supposed to be a laid back, stress free type of day. Lets just say, I was counting the hours until the kids left. One of my aides, Lisi, has the sweetest son, Josh. In his Kindergarten centers, he made me this wonderful card:

Bubbles and Balloons
It was a birthday week! In my classroom, I have three aides. We all had our birthdays this week! So fun! The kids loved having a party, with balloons and bubbles everyday! This is the best bubble machine, ever -

Puppy Update
They are becoming friends!!!Layla is becoming more tolerable of Maya. They are actually playing, running and laying next to each other every so often. It is making me feel better because Layla isn't mad at us anymore. She is becoming more and more like herself. Maya is developing a little personality. She is definitly more agressive and outspoken than Layla. One of our neighbor kids comes over everyday and lets them out! He loves the dogs so, it gives them a good mid-day break to get out and play, and gives him a chance to make some money.

GO ASTROS!
Last night, we went to the ASTROS game! It was opening week so, it was an exciting night. They were giving away Hunter Pence bobble-head dolls to the first 10,000. My mom really wanted one...
We got to the game super early to get a bobble head. 2 hours before the game started, they were OUT! We were so mad. Oh well, we were still at the baseball game and it was beautiful weather.
We were so excited! We couldn't believe it! Of course, we ran to the enterance (right behind home-plate) and had to show proof that we belonged there to about 5 different people. That is not the best part.....In the Diamond Club, they were giving away HUNTER PENCE BOBBLE HEADS!!! We were pumped! Jimmy and I were so excited that my mom would finally have this bobble-head for her collection. Our $350 seats were a little better than our $12 tickets. We waited and waited to get a good one of Hunter, for mom.....
It was an awesome night! (The most fun Jimmy has had at a baseball game!) The Astros even won 5-0! Way to go!
Here is what the real thing looks like......Impressive, isn't it?
