Way to go, Jimmy!

I have to take a minute and brag on Jimmy! Since April, he has been working out everyday with the P90X program! We have both been doing it, but I'll admit that I don't do it every single day like he does. The program suggests that you take a Day 1, day 30, 60 and 90 picture to see how your body changes. He had already toned up and slimmed down so much in one month!

This past weekend, we signed up to run a 5K with his work. He thought he would have to stop and walk a few times since he never does cardio like that, but he ran the whole way! Not only that, but we finished in 26 min, 36 seconds. I was so excited that he did so well! A quick photo for our project before the race!

Man, oh man, I can't believe how bad I have been in keeping up with the blog! Its not because we haven't done anything, but maybe because we have done so much that I don't have time to update! Plus, most of my computer time has been taken up by my new IPod Touch or our never-ending Project 365 in 2009 .
Over Memorial Day weekend, Jimmy and I went to New Braunfels, Texas for a nice weekend away! Friends of ours have a perfect little house out there that we stay at. Here we are eating at 'Grandma's House.' (When you take a picture a day, you have to start taking pictures of every single thing you do!)
Just as we were about to get on the river, it started pouring! We waited it out in the car for a few minutes, then jumped on the Guadalupe.

On Sunday, my parents came out for the night. While we waited for them to get into town, we went to the Natural Bridge Caverns. In this picture, we are about 200 feet under ground!
When I was showing these pictures to a co-worker, she asked who made these formations. It was so cool to say, "God did! Isn't He amazing?!?"
On Monday, we toured around New B, like we always do. This is the clear spring where the Comal River begins. While we were posing for this picture, a jogger ran by, stuck his head in the spring (like a dog) and lapped up some water. He jumped off and took off running again. He gave us the idea to bring our plastic bottles here and bottle the water to sell.
You can't walk through Gruene without taking a picture in front of Gruene Hall! What a gorgeous day!!
Every time we visit the Hill Country, we want to move there more and more. Maybe one day, we will have our ranch in New Braunfels!

A Few Weekends to Remember

Its been a fabulous few weekends! Last weekend, we officially celebrated my birthday! We hit a few spots on The Bluebonnet Wine Trail and found some new favorite wineries!

Cork This is brand new in Montgomery. They actually bring you in and teach you how to make your own wine! We will for sure do that some day, but here we are enjoying some delicious Green Apple wine! Yum, Yum!
Messina Hoff has been our list of places to visit for awhile. Its in Bryan, Texas, which is why its taken us so long to visit. It took us just over an hour to get there, but the food and dessert was awesome!
This weekend, we attended the Family Life's Weekend to Remember Marriage Conference. We had so much fun!! There were over 2,000 people in attendance, relationships that varied from not even engaged yet to over 47 years of marriage! The conference required each couple to do a few application projects. These projects were a bit intimidating at first, but got Jimmy and I talking about things we never have before. Visit the link and see if the conference is coming to your town. If so, i highly recommend you attend!!!
This weekend, we also went to KENNY CHESNEY!! Everytime he comes to town, I want to see him and we finally did! Oh, and he did not disappoint! It was so much fun, fun, fun!!! We went with friends, Lori and Bryan and Jimmy's cousin, Bo.
It threatened to rain all weekend, but ended up being a great, beautiful day!!
After we had been at the concery for awhile, I was pumped!

There were so many people there!
Kenny put on such a great show!!
It has been a great few weeks!! I can't even say how thankful I am that Jimmy has a job that he can be so flexible and do all these fun things!

These Days....

Chelsea, a friend of mine from back in the days of Young Jr. High and Martin H.S., has mentioned that she misses my posts. While I find this flattering that people (ok, one person) actually want to read about our normal life, I am just reminded that we really don't do too much that I find 'blog worthy.'
My birthday was last weekend. We had some great plans for Saturday, but it poured harder than it has, well, ever. It started raining on Friday night and did not stop until Saturday evening. I thought IKE was coming back.
Since we didn't leave the house all day, we ended up just going to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was delicious, but it was also a bummer. I cannot believe I am 26. When did that happen?? I used to think I wanted to be done having kids by the time I was 25! What was I thinking?? Here is our picture from dinner. (I know I look like I have been drinking, but I only had one sip from mom's margarita.)
We booked our summer vacation recently.....
Hawaii, here we come!!!!

We are going to MAUI in June!

Jimmy and I have rented a condo with mom, dad and Kasey! Its right on Kaanapali Beach!

Soooo.....since we will be spending another vacation on the beach, we have started a pretty rigorous workout program. (Don't use this photo to determine how hard it is, I already worked out this day!)
The program is called P90X. Its pretty tough! It has a schedule that we have to follow which tells us what DVDs to do on what days. Here we are doing chin-ups! (I have to use a chair to help with the exercise. Turns out, I'm not very strong.)
Well, I am hoping we will have nice weather tomorrow! We are planning on going to the Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail tomorrow! If it all works out, I should have something fun to post about!! I do apologize for the lack of posts and pictures recently! Remember, check up on our Project 365 in 2009 to see what we have been up to daily!

Easter Weekend

What an AWESOME weekend!! Not only did we get to meet the Easter Bunny, but we enjoyed beautiful weather, wonderful fellowship and spent lots of time with the family!!
On Saturday, our church put on EasterFest at a local park. There were literally hundreds of people there! It was so amazing to have that many people attend our event!

Jimmy made about a million hotdogs all afternoon!
Sunday was a great day too!! Church was wonderful and we had a great crowd! Sunday after church, we spent the day at mom and dad's house. It is so so very nice that they live so close and we get to spend time with them whenever we want!
It was supposed to be a rainy, nasty day. After about an hour of rain, God brought the sun out and it was bright and beautiful!!!
We are so incredibly blessed!!

Strawberry Pickin

We went to King's Orchard to pick some strawberries on Sunday. It was the most beautiful, perfect day!

We had to get a good picture for Project 365 in 2009 - we chose the 'action' shot.
These were by far the best tasting strawberries I have ever had!!
Can you see the bumble bee??
Isn't it gorgeous?!?
What a fun day! We love finding out of the ordinary things to do! We will definitely be going back in May! They will have strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and veggies!!

Look what we found....

Oh....life is so fun!
