Our Favorite Place

This past week, we took a much needed mini-vacation to our favorite place in Texas…New Braunfels!  It is always so much fun planning our trip because there are so many fabulous places to eat!  Everyday revolves around where we want to eat!

Our all time favorite restaurant is Liberty Bistro!  It is actually in the basement of the old City Hall!  The food is wonderful and so are the drinks!

 

Jimmy tried a new beer and I got a delicious chocolate martini!  (Notice baby’s toes in the picture!)

 

We didn’t bring Addison’s pack’n’play so, we did the next best thing for her crib!

On Thursday, Jimmy and I went to The Winery on the Gruene in Gruene, Texas, with the Geislers.  We love this winery and never leave with less than two bottles!

Right after that one, mom, dad and Kasey drove in and met us at Water to Wine.  This is a winery on the Plaza in New Braunfels!

 

Thursday night, we met up with some friends and went to Bubba’s Backyard for gourmet burgers!

Vicky’s mom’s 1966 Chevy Chavelle!  It does not have power steering or power breaks, but she drove it until she was 85!

This is how I leave Jimmy and Addison most mornings when I go run!

Normally, when we are in New Braunfels, we go to the Crosswalk Coffee Shop on the plaza for breakfast.  We learned the sad news this week that they are forced to close because of rent increases! 

The coffee shop is in a building built in 1925 and is just the perfect place with the nicest people!  Rumor is that Starbucks is looking to rent that spot.  That would just ruin the atmosphere and we would definitely not go anymore!

We finally got to float the river this summer and enjoy a margarita also!  We couldn’t float without taking Addison on the river for the first time!

Jimmy was really in the mood for a Ruben sandwich so, we went to Oma’s Haus for authentic German food!

 

It was a wonderful weekend with wonderful people!
